Frequently asked questions

If you have a question that isn't below, please call or go to the contact page. We are here to help.

How do I care for my tree?

Follow these tips to keep your tree fresh and safe.

•    We will provide a fresh cut for your tree to take in water. Be sure to provide abundant fresh water

and place your tree away from direct sunlight, fireplaces, and HVAC vents that could dry out your

tree. We sell tree preservative to help extend the life of your tree.

•    If you buy your tree more than 24 hours before you plan to set it up, store the tree outdoors in

and area sheltered from sun and wind until you are ready to bring inside.

•    Use a tree stand that holds plenty of water.  Your tree is thirsty and will need up to a 4 liters of

water a day.  Use warm tap water and optional tree preservative (sold at Shipley Farms).  If you

allow the water level to drop below the bottom of the tree, a seal will form just as it does on a cut

flower and a new cut will be necessary to allow the tree to continue to take in water.

•    Turn off the tree lights when you leave and overnight.

Following these measures should ensure a beautiful Christmas tree that stays fresh through the holiday.

Can I cut down my own tree?

All of our trees are pre-cut and freshly delivered from Michigan.  This allows us to get beautiful tree varieties that don’t grow in Arkansas.

When is the best time to come pick my tree?

The Farm is busiest on the weekends.  Visit us during the week or weeknights for a quieter, relaxing experience.  But don’t wait too long, we typically sell ½ of our inventory in the first 2 weekends.

Can I reserve my tree?

Yes!  You can come select your tree and pick up at a later date or use our online pre-order form and we will select your tree and have it ready for you to pick up.

What is Flocking?

A flocked Christmas Tree or Wreath features an artificial white or colored powered applied to mimic snow.  Check out our Flocking Options

What forms of payment are accepted?

We prefer cash, but debit and all major credit cards are accepted.

Do you allow photography on the farm?

Customers are welcome to take all the selfies and photos you want during open business hours to capture the fun memory of picking out your perfect tree!  We will have our Santa Bench and Old Blue decorated and available with props. Don’t forget to tag Shipley Farms as the location for your pictures!  In order to best serve our Customers, we do not allow bookings for professional photography.

Are pets allowed at the farm?

Yes, leashed pets are welcome. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and please don’t let someone take home a tree that smells like pee!

Do you offer Delivery?

No, we do not offer this service at this time. We will shake, net and help you load your tree with tie downs on your vehicle.

Wishing You a Happy Christmas!
